Fund honors
life of Lindsey Paul Rudolph
Student summer work opportunity created
A
special fund has been established to honor the life of Lindsey Paul
Rudolph, a library employee killed in a tragic automobile accident
last winter. Spearheaded by Dr. Laraine Glidden of St. Mary's
College, the Lindsey Fund will be used to fund a
part-time student work opportunity in the children's
department providing early literacy activities for pre-schoolers, a
passion of Lindsey's.
Dr.
Glidden will donate matching funds (at least $5,000) to The Lindsey
Fund. To date, a total of $3,876 has been donated. All
donations will be kept in an endowment fund managed by the Board
of Library Turstees with the endowment's interest supporting the
project. To donate, contact Library Director Kathleen Reif, kreif@stmalib.org
or 301-475-2846 x1013.

Library Board members Carole Romary (upper left) &
Jan Briscoe (upper right) as well as Lindsey Paul Rudolph's
husband, Todd Rudolph, and her mother, Susan Paul, were present
as Friends of the Library Vice President Constance Allen, Dr. Laraine
Glidden, and Library Board President Alan Dillingham (seated) signed
the Memorandum of Understanding creating "The Lindsey
Fund."
