Friends of the Library annual MEGA Book Sale
will be March 15-17 at the County Fairgrounds with 3 buildings
full of books, audiobooks, puzzles and games. Shop early
for best selection.
- Teen Art Contest entries are on
display in Lexington Park Library Art Gallery March 1- April
15. Opening Reception will be 5-8 pm on March 11.
- Poets
can share poetry at the Open Mic on
March 6, 6:30 pm, at Leonardtown.
- Expand
your computer skills! Register for
a class: Basic, Introduction to Word, Introduction to Excel, or
Intermediate Excel.
- The
times of the Now You're Cooking sessions have
been changed to 3:30-4:15 and 4:15-5:00.
- Register
for Saving with Coupons to learn coupon
basics from Kimberly Hoctor on March 20 at Lexington Park, March
27 at Leonardtown and March 28 at Charlotte Hall.
- Watch
K9 Search & Recovery Demonstrations by
Millie and Edgar at Lexington Park on March 23 at 10 am.
- New
catalog feature! If you have Internet access on your phone

New faces around our libraries
If you use Lexington Park Library, you probably have seen
Brian Freed
patrolling the library and reminding customers of the rules.
Brian started working at the Lexington Park Branch in November as the
Security Associate. Before coming to St. Mary's County he worked 11
years in the oilfields of West Texas.
For many summers Charlotte Hall's newest circulation
clerk, Breanna
Jeffries, was a summer reading volunteer at the
library. In January she began an employee working at the check
out desk. Breanna is currently a student at CSM.

Evening Storytimes & LEGO Fun are
scheduled March 5-7.

St. Mary's College, Maryland, will give a presentation detailing how
the PAX River Naval Air Base and a determined group of countians
changed life in Lexington Park and in turn, St. Mary's County.
