Entire state to read Warren St. John's book, Outcasts United

Outcasts United is the 2010 selection for One Maryland OnBook Covere Book, Maryland's statewide community reading project in which the entire state is reading the same book during Sept. and Oct.  Outcasts United is the stunning real-life story of an inspiring group of refugees and a woman who changes an entire community for the better, and a small southern town struggling with the refugee resettlement.

Pick up a copy of the book ...read it ... and discuss it with a neighbor, friends or at one of our book discussions in September  or October.

You spoke...we listened!

Each month your Director, Kathleen Reif, has been addressing comments made on the Customer Survey conducted in April.

Customer comments:   Longer Hours:  Sundays at every branch plus Friday and Saturday evenings.

Director's Response:  I also would like to see more libraries open on Sundays and longer hours on Friday; however, this would require additional funding from the county or state.  We will keep this on our priority list for when the economy turns around.

Website Survey coming soon!
A short survey will soon be posted on our website.  Take a few minutes to tell us what you think about our website, so we can make it better!
