green.  We have reduced this year's annual report to a bookmark-sized handout.  Pick up your copy and then recycle it as a bookmark...or go green and view it online. 

 

Don't miss the inspiring play, Ben Carson, M.D. Story, on Feb. 23 at Great Mills High School at 7 PM. Details follow.

Technology Fund Update

Your donation of any amount will help support this valuable fund.  This fund will be used to sustain the new computers purchased with the Gates Foundation Grant. To donate

 

Nine new computers installed at Lexington Park

Nine computers purchased with funds from Gates Foundation Grant and local donors have been installed at Lexington Park.  More will be coming for Charlotte Hall and Leonardtown this year. 

 

BAE Systems Donates $1000 to Technology Fund

Rick Anderson, Vice President/General Manager of BAE Systems, presented Director Kathleen Reif with check as Library Board members (l to r) Alan Dillingham, Joan Springer, and Dan Buris look on.  BAE Systems kicked off the campaign last year with a $1000 donation.  This brings their total donation to $2000. 

 

Lighthouse raffle raises $650 for Techology Fund

Leonardtown Library Branch Manager Marylee Russell presented the Blackistone Lighthouse print to Shannon Demehri, winner of the raffle.

Inspiring play of Dr. Carson's struggle from an inner-city Detroit child to Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital.  Free.

Friends donate $3000 to librariesFriends of the Library logo

 

Friends of St. Mary's County Library (FOL) donated $1000 to each branch at their annual brunch.  FOL has donated more than $140,000 to the libraries from money raised from the book sale.
