Computer Classes
Classes are currently available at all branches. They are free and registration is required due to limited space. Individual instruction is available at Charlotte Hall and Leonardtown by request.

Adult Classes: These on-going classes are offered monthly:
- Introduction to Computers—Learn the components, vocabulary and basics of using a personal computer.
- Introduction to Windows—Learn the basics of Windows.
- Introduction to the Internet—Learn the terms, basic page features and basics of web searching. Discover tips on browsing and evaluating sites.
- Introduction to Email—Set up an email account and learn to send and receive emails.
Classes offered periodically:
- Basic Excel—Learn the basics to create and use an Excel spreadsheet
- Intermediate Excel Part I—Learn intermediate formulas in Excel and work with rows, columns, and worksheets. Pre-requisite: Familiarity with basic Excel functions.
- Intermediate Excel Part II—Learn intermediate formulas in Excel and work with freezing panes, sorting data, creating a chart, adding comments, hyperlinks and internal references, and printing options. Pre-requisite: Familiarity with basic Excel functions.
- Introduction to Publisher—Learn the basics of Publisher, Microsoft's desktop publishing program used to create flyers, cards, certificates, and more!
- Resume Wizardry—Learn some of the useful features of Microsoft Word while applying them to a resume.
- Introduction to Digital Photo Editing—Learn how to use the scanner and camera wizard to transfer photos to a computer and discover free tools for photo editing. NO digital camera required. Prerequisite: Ability to use a mouse.
- The Internet and Genealogy—Learn where to start your genealogy search using free Internet websites, the library’s databases, Social Security Death Index, and U.S. Census. Prerequisite: Knowledge of Internet
