Library’s Summer Reading Programs
On-going starting June 9 through August 9 at all three St. Mary’s County libraries.
Children, birth through teens, can participate in a reading club.
Every child participating in a Summer Reading Club receives two complimentary tickets for lawn seats to the July 13th Southern Maryland Blue Crabs fireworks game. One hundred participants will receive Baltimore Orioles tickets (1 child/1 adult) in a random drawing.
- Read-to-Me Club for babies from birth to age two: Parents/caregivers and their little ones enjoy activities listed on an activity sheet together and return every 3 weeks to collect a prize for their baby. Babies receive a free book upon completion of sheet.
- Catch the Reading Bug Club for listeners to grade 5: Children record their reading times on a reading log and return every three weeks to collect a prize. Those who complete their logs will receive a free book.
- Metamorphosis Club for grades 6 & up: Students record their reading times on a reading log and return every 3 weeks to earn a chance in a drawing for prizes, plus a drawing for grand prizes (digital camera, IPod Shuffle, iTunes gift card) at the end of the program.

| July 28, 2008 | General Foolishness Leonardtown's held at St. Paul's United Methodist Church today only. Paul Hadfield, The Funny Guy, presents a zany comedy production of juggling, acrobatics, music and audience participation. |
| Augsut 4, 2008 | Candy & Cupcake Candy and Cupcake, her teddy bear, amuse you wtih lively songs, stories and puppets. |
