Lexington Park Library Volunteer Application

Volunteer Types

 
Program Volunteers
Program volunteers assist with specific events and programs involving craft or makerspace tech for young children, teens, or adults. This option allows you to focus on events that match your interests and expertise. Program Volunteers generally do the following:

  • Assist with: computer/tech classes, arts and crafts, Makerspace programs, Spanish language programming, special events (e.g., Author Fair, Sustainability Fair, LexiCon)
  • Tasks: room setup and breakdown, assisting participants with activities, making sample crafts, other miscellaneous tasks
  • Minimum commitment is 2 hours

S.E.E.D.S. Library Volunteers
Volunteers are dedicated to maintenance of the S.E.E.D.S. Library. S.E.E.D.S. Library Volunteers generally do the following:

  • Dividing seed packets for each branch
  • Creating new labels in Word
  • Packaging and labelling seed packets
  • Entering order form statistics in Excel
  • Minimum commitment is 2 hours a week or every other week
