Cosplay Guidelines

The following rules apply to all three age groups of the cosplay contest (birth to 10, 11-17, and 18 and up) as well as any cosplayers visiting the library not interested in competing. LexiCon is a family friendly event. Costumes should not exceed a PG-13 rating. There is to be no hentai. No toy or real weapons are permitted in the Library. All other Library policies apply at LexiCon.

The following behaviors/costumes are not acceptable:

• Toy or real weapons
• Harassment, unwelcome sexual attention, or inappropriate physical contact
• Excessive violence
• Sexual activity/contact/implication of sexual activity
• Nudity
• Pyrotechnics including fire, flame, or smoke, or devices that create these effects
• Aerosol sprays
• Projectiles
• Messy substances (oil, liquids, confetti, etc.)
• Use of stage time to make political, religious, or inflammatory remarks
• Bare feet
• Live animals
• Smoking
• Foul language
