Taiko: The Art of Japanese Drumming with Mark Rooney

An interactive performance of traditional & contemporary songs &, rhythms that explores the instruments, the voice in taiko, and a bit of history & Japanese vocabulary. Some audience volunteers will get to try their hand at playing these BIG drums! Note for those with sensitive ears: Taiko drums are very, very loud. Most seating will be on the floor- feel free to bring a blanket! Space may be limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
