The Glowforge Pro HD is a 38″ (W) x 20 3/4″ (D) laser cutter and engraver used to create custom projects for home, business, school, or hobby. It has a 45 watt CO2 laser that can cut a variety of materials, including: wood, acrylic, glass, and leather. Glowforge users must undergo a brief training before their first time using the machine. Please see a Library staff member in the Makerspace for details.
What You’ll Need
- A SVG, PDF, JPG, or PNG file of your design or inspiration to create a design.
- Any material needed to create your design. Maximum material height is 2 inches. Approved material includes:
- Wood (plywood, hardwood, wood round, etc.)
- Paper
- Cardboard
- Acrylic
- Leather (no “pleather”)
- Glass
- Metal
- Stone or slate
- Limited materials may be available for purchase at the Lexington Park Library Makerspace.
