All libraries have limited copies of Maryland tax booklets and IRS form 1040. You can pick them up at any Library location, or by making a curbside or drive-thru appointment and letting us know in the appointment form which of these forms you need. There is no charge for these forms. If you need other forms printed, you can download them from the IRS or Maryland Comptroller website (see links and info below) and print them in the Library. Cost for printing other forms is $0.20 per page.

Tax Preparation Assistance
LifeStyles’ Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program provides free federal and state tax preparation services for households whose total household income is $60,000 or less. Appointments are available on Thursdays, February 2 – April 13 at the Lexington Park Library and are scheduled to be 45 minutes long. Registration is required and walk-ins will not be accepted. Tax services are provided by IRS-certified tax preparers. Tax service is for Charles, Prince George’s, St Mary’s and Calvert County residents, and is only for Federal and Maryland State tax returns (No DC or other state returns). Prior tax returns from the last four years (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022) can be completed, but a separate appointment must be made for each tax year that’s needed. Register for an appointment here.
